The American Nurses Association Announces Support for the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007 (H.R. 3)

According to the 2005 numbers provided by the National League of Nurses, only 14.1% of registered nursing students in Western USA were males.</p> <p>However, that picture is changing thanks to strong job stability, good pay and benefits, and the chance to work at the forefront of emerging technologies while saving lives.</p> <p>More and more men are coming around to the conclusion that saving lives at a hospital is as good and noble a public service as many other public service jobs that were traditionally dominated by men, including volunteer firefighting and law enforcement.</p> <p>The 3-day 12-hour shifts might not be easy for some. Now, Crone said the new ER is three times the size of the old one. She was there with a group of USM students and volunteers on a medical mission.</p> <p>Two USM students have also been hospitalized. One student suffered shoulder injuries, the other internal injuries. She works at The Women’s Hospital in Deaconess’ Gateway Hospital campus.</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in">For Susie Ludwig, becoming an obstetrics nurse was never a career choice.
